Ontario Nature and Thomas Allen present Lee Allen Peterson in Toronto  
"Roger Tory Peterson - A Son's Memories"

(Saturday, September 6, 2008) In support of the launch of the new Peterson Guide to Birds of North America, Lee Allan Peterson will be speaking in Toronto about a life spent birding with his famous father, the renowned ornithologist Roger Tory Petersen.  It was the elder Peterson who created and edited an entire suite of Field Guides that helped generations of interested hobbyists identify birds, plants, insects and other natural phenomena.

The recent release of the latest edition of Field Guide to Birds of North America (first published in 1934) has 40 new paintings, digitally enhanced original art work, updated text, and new range maps, plus links to three house worth of video podcasts.
